The Chicago International Documentary Festival is a premiere U.S. Festival of documentary films. This thought-provoking ten day event is dedicated to the celebration and cultivation of documentary film and its unique power to inspire and communicate a world of ideas and culture.
Each edition presents an array of extraordinary programs, showcasing the work of brilliant filmmakers and providing a venue for established and emerging artists of film and for filmgoers to see a strong international selection.
The festival is presented by the Society for Arts, a no-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. The society has nearly 20 year tradition of presenting international films in North America.
