Chicago International Documentary Festival

The Chicago International Documentary Festival is a premiere U.S. festival of documentary films. This thought-provoking ten-day event is dedicated to the celebration and cultivation of documentary film and its unique power to inspire and communicate a world of ideas and culture.

Each edition presents an array of extraordinary programs, showcasing the work of brilliant filmmakers and providing a venue for established and emerging artists and filmgoers to experience a strong international selection.

The festival is presented by the Society for Arts, a non-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a nearly 20-year tradition of presenting international films in North America.
